Horace Anthony, 77, Dempsey Corner, Kings County, died Saturday, February 14, in Okeechobee, Florida. Born in Kennetcook, he was a son of the late Clarence and Matilda (Anthony) Anthony. He taught school for more than forty years, until his retirement. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a member of Horton Lodge, AF and AM; Eastern Star, Mayflower Chapter and LaHave Chapter, Bridgewater. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Baltzer; two daughters, Ardath Marie (Mrs. Kirk Morrison), Perth, Ontario; Joanne Laurel, Antigonish; a brother, Harold, Halifax; four grandchildren. He was predeceaed by four brothers, Ralph, Earl, Clifford, and Paul; a sister, Ruby. The body will be in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick,after 2 p.m. Friday, where Eastern Star service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, followed by a Masonic service. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Aylesford Baptist Church, Rev. Eustace Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Aylesford Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aylesford Baptist Church or Nova Scotia Heart Fund.
